- Real learning environments, experiments and field work through real-world projects
SS&P22 is the continuation of the 2021 application (TBI&HER) , which secured the technical prerequisites for the implementation of an new innovative idea in Category: Innovative Teaching and Learning, Primary Horizontal Priority: Internationalization and also Other Priorities: Digitization, Inclusion and Diversity, Sustainability. Innovative Aspect of SS&P22 integrates theoretical knowledge with modern technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), diverse stakeholders cooperation and practical project experiences. The program emphasizes international & interdisciplinary collaboration and prepares students for future scientific and professional challenges, fostering innovation and adaptability. Key Activities: 1. Methodology of Preparation & Submition of Scientific Projects - elective course - Equips students to design, manage, and projects implementation - Includes grant writing and interdisciplinary teamwork. 2. Artificial Intelligence in Sports Science - elective course - Introduces AI for project planing, writing & implementation including ethical considerations. - Enhances research with AI applications in kinesiology. 3. Modern Technologies Training - extra-curricular activities - Hands-on use of diagnostic tools funded by Croatian Science Foundation Project - Promotes practical problem-solving and research application. 4. Active Project Participation - extra-curricular activities - Engages students in real-world projects (e.g., HRZZ IP-2020-02-3366, Erasmus+ TALENT). - Develops teamwork, critical thinking, and professional skills. Main Outcomes and Outputs 1. Educational Impact: - Improved student competencies in scientific research, AI, and digital tools. - Increased engagement through hands-on learning. 2. Research Contributions: - Published scientific articles and conference presentations. - Strengthened partnerships with NGOs and institutions. 3.Sustainability: - Self-sustaining program supported by grants and partnerships. - Scalable model implemented across faculties. 4. Outputs: New elective courses, improved syllabu, and enhanced research facilities. Summary: SS&P22 is a forward-thinking program combining theoretical and practical approaches to education. It leverages AI, advanced technologies, and interdisciplinary collaboration to prepare students for 22nd-century challenges. This innovative initiative fosters global partnerships, critical thinking, and sustainable practices while bridging academic and professional domains

6.1 Digitalization
- Outstanding, innovative, excellent practices of online / blended / hybrid learning
- Innovative, novel methodology in using digital tools/devices in teaching
- Novel digital solutions (tools, frameworks, devices, tasks to enhance efficiency and motivation)
- Artificial intelligence and learning analytics in education and training
Reasoning: Digitalization is embedded across all program components. Students use AI to prepare project application witch enriches learning outcomes and connects theory with real-world applications.Through Moodle, system students engage in interactive online modules complemented by in-person practical sessions, creating a hybrid model that maximizes learning flexibility and accessibility. Dijagnostic devices are utilized to collect and analyze real-time data fostering hands-on, data-driven eduacation.
6.2 Internationalization
- Outstanding practices of international online collaborative learning
- Students engagement in international projects
- Courses implemented in international cooperation (projects, co-teaching, virtual/blended mobility, etc.)
Reasoning: 1.The curriculum integrates global perspectives through topics such as AI applications in sports and sustainability, emphasizing their international relevance. Co-teaching with international experts enhances these perspectives. 2. Collaboration occurs via joint Erasmus+ projects (PROJEKT TALENT ) and international research initiatives, (SLO-CRO HRZZ Project: IP-2024-05-8340) fostering robust networks between students, faculty, and global stakeholders. 3. Adaptive learning strategies and digital tools (e.g., Moodle, AI ...etc. ) address the diverse cultural and academic backgrounds of students, ensuring inclusivity. 4. The program builds global competence by engaging students in international research, mobility, and cross-cultural team projects, enhancing intercultural understanding and global problem-solving skills. Active involvement of Erasmus+ students fosters cross-cultural exchange and mutual learning, creating an inclusive, international educational environment.
6.3 Inclusion and diversity, universal design
- Inclusive course design, universally designed divers activities to meet special students' needs
- (Innovative) use of devices and tools for inclusion
Reasoning: SS&P22 incorporates inclusive course design by offering universally designed activities tailored to diverse student needs. Methods include blended learning via Moodle, adaptive AI tools for personalized support, and devices for inclusive participation. Students are sensitized to address special needs in professional practice, while AI enhances accessibility through real-time feedback and adaptive learning solutions.
6.4 Sustainability
- Sustainability goals are addressed in the course(s)
- Social entrepreneurship projects, service-learning in the topic
- Extra-curricular student activities for sustainability
Reasoning: SS&P22 ensures sustainability through modular course design and long-term funding from grants and institutional support. The program’s integration of cutting-edge technologies, such as AI ensures relevance and scalability. Its focus on cross-sector partnerships and skill-building creates lasting impact by fostering a self-sustaining cycle of innovation and collaboration.
